According to a June 26 report in Venturebeat, Microsoft is planning to buy semantic search engine Powerset for $100M plus. However, Microsoft has yet to confirm the deal. Supposedly, there will be an announcement next month.
This prediction is that Microsoft will announce a deal to buy Powerset on or before July 26, 2008.

I'd extend the deadline just a bit (perhaps end of July, but leaving the 7/26/08 close date?), but you've got my vote.
