HTC to sell at least 1.5M Android phones by end of 2009

The first Android phone makes its debut during T-Mobile announcement in September. Initial estimates indicates upwards of 500K HTC G1 to be sold by end of 2008. According to Open Handset Alliance and Google, there are several Android devices planned to be introduced by end of 2008 and early 2009. According to Peter Chou (HTC CEO) will continue to push its leadership on Android phone aggressively.

PREDICTION: HTC to sell at least 1.5M Android phones by end of 2009.

The terms of this prediction were met several weeks ago:

I've reworded and termed the prediction at 5 million by end of February and sent to Eric.


@Garrick, if you track down the source of the 1.5M numbers, you will also come to realization that it was incorrect.
