This prediction closed early due to breaking news. Reuters issued a report Monday stating that Texas Instruments will demonstrate an Android prototype at the Mobile World Congress trade show. The community consensus that the prediction would occur was correct. --The Industry Standard

As mentioned in recent news, Reuters has been told by a source close to ARM Holdings that Google will be releasing their first Android phone next week.

According to the source, "ARM, a U.K.-based company that makes embedded and graphics processors... will introduce a prototype for a telephone that uses Android as its operating platform as soon as next Monday."

Let's put the rumor to the test. In fact, lets even give them until Tuesday.

extremely interested to see the news on this. crazy to think an Android might launch in Europe before the U.S.

I read somewhere that it might be Dell that is going to release a phone with Android - seems a little unlikely so close to the Andoid release but I bet in favor anyway.

Even if android launches it will be a dud, jmho

Android will be the next big thing in phone OS
