Google launched Project 10^100 today, a contest to find eight ideas to solve world-wide problems in health, education, energy and five other categories. Google has committed 10 million dollars to fund the winning ideas from the contest. The launch also helps mark Google's 10th anniversary, and, in case you don’t get the joke, 10^100 is another way to express a googol.
Anyone can submit an idea by October 20th, 2008 at the project website, and the winners will be chosen by a vote starting January 27th 2009. However, the authors of the winning ideas will not be a part of the implementation, according to the FAQ. Outside organizations chosen by Google will launch and manage the projects while authors will have the joy of seeing their idea realized without lifting a finger.
The video below is Google’s promotion for the project on YouTube.

voy a salvar al mundo
To save the world we have to change our thinking and our behavor. The people today are rotten to death, they would sell their own mother for a penny. We should have look at our children: they are honest and straight. You can see that on their faces. If they say you "love you mum" they really think so. But adults, they are different, you can't see: they can pretend, play, be nice and shine, but inside they are rottent and bad. They should change, they should respect their friends, family, employer, concurention... They should fair play. They should think about others' feeling, not just theirs and curerent situation. What they are leaving to the children - nothing, but teaching them to be even worse then they are.
Honesty, love, respect and positive drive will save the world.
We live in a World

We could save the world and help yourself save money by looking at you life and finding a few things that you could give up doing just part time. Cut back on TV, Cell phone calls, playing video games, cooking with electricity, take cold showers, try cleaning without electronic devices. When its dark out go to sleep, wake up with the sun and use light from the sun its free. It's like a diet, cut down slowly and soon you will find that yes you can maybe even do without for an entire day. Take a look at your lifestyle and find little things that you can do without. Instead of driving the car, walk or bike or take a mass transit vehicle.
Look at all your bills when you start and put those savings into an account that you will not touch, don't get an ATM card or checks for it, make it hard to withdraw from and good luck on your energy savings. Good Luck people of the world we're all in this together.
Lets all go back to before we had all the luxuries and give them up for a day. Pack up the family and make a bar-b-que picnic. Remember to pack all those little things that you need just like going on a trip. Do not use electronics, read books, play games, fishing, hiking, swimming what ever is free do. Try doing it for a couple of hours, the gradually increase it until you are totally electronic free and you may even feel healthier. Goal would be to be electronic free for a whole day. You can do it, then you will be prepared for the next earthquake power failure to hit your area.
Lets all go into hurricane/disaster mode. We in Hawaii have hurricane season and we put together a kit for hurricane prepareness. Take your kit and use it for a day , then increase till you can use up all your supplies. It is a good way to test your kit and make the neccessary changes so that when disaster does strike you will have a complete kit and be self sufficent completely. Take the time to use those supplies and you will see that its not so hard to live without all the extras just for a few days.
You will also not waste your survival kits because you will use them. Come on live on less, you can do it.
