AOL, a unit of Time Warner Brothers, has just launched two new specialty websites in a bid to increase its advertising revenue.

Though AOL's portals (www.aol.com in the US and for India, www.aol.in) are more of a one website for all, the company is clearly targeting niche Internet audiences with the launch of Pixcetera (www.pixcetera.com), a website for professional level photography; and Wallet Pop (www.walletpop.com), a site for personal finance. The latter is focused on the US audience, while Pixcetera has a more universal appeal.

The look and feel of these websites has been customized for the subject. More websites are expected from AOL, including one focused on women.
