Kotaku reported today that LucasArts has laid off nearly 80 percent of its production services staff, and plans on outsourcing product development overseas. The layoffs came yesterday, according to staffers, in quality assurance, development, art and programming. This comes in the final stages of LucasArts highly anticipated release of “Star Wars: The Force Unleashed” videogame.

The shakeup happened now two months after LucasArt’s new President, and former EA COO, Darrell Rodriguez, replaced Jim Ward.
