We need to find a link/site where we can put pressure on the government by complaining and demanding that our money be returned to the account holders. If anyone knows about a site where we can do this, please post it here so that we can make it worldwide.

First, thank you Ian Lamont

First, thank you Ian Lamont for providing this forum so clients of e-bullion can help each other. I count twenty interested souls, who are:
Micinka, Wandering, Lee, Letorm, Balo, Ronne Chirinos, David Kuan, Bradley Baker, Paul Huebl, Mark Herpel, Peter, Marina Sokolov, John, EJ, Sue, Kelly Herndon, Melissa, Ian Lamont of course and me - Greysi. Now I thank all you because my total savings is with E-bullion and when problem happened I lost hope and only feel sad. But now I read your good thoughts and my mind is made strong and thoughts grow positive.

I like very much the idea to write Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. We know him for many successes but not personal. Why not give Mr. Arnold opportunity to help? Also if we write as group to him then he will think more serious about our problem. Please read now the letter I think to send Mr. Arnold.
--------------------
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger,

I am young woman of Honduras. In December 2002 I deposit all my money with E-bullion in Camarillo, California. The amount was less than $4000 but is very important for me. The Lempira is money of Honduras but is very bad to save because it has much inflation. With help of friend I find E-bullion and I buy gold of California. A bad thing now is "FBI" and "IRS" punish E-bullion and take everything. I read of this and feel sick if money for future of my son is lost. I am no body, so only you can judge what is right for E-bullion and owner (James Fayed). But is it just to keep money of innocent people with account for saving?? I ask of you no favors. Only offer opportunity to use your leadership for whatever you believe is right. I know support forum on Internet. Many are worried, so I will be happy to share any positive response you can give. Here are details. Case# CR 08-224 in the United States District Court/Central District of California, Hon. Philip S. Gutierrez is Judge.

Thank you.
Greysi Alvarez
--------------------

Thoughts:
I believe good ideas with positive hope is more help than lawyer, so I trust more the judgement of all you.
How can we find more members of E-bullion?
Does anyone want to be part of my letter?
Or is it better to send separate letters each?
I think Judge will be more just *IF* case is famous.
How can we increase visibility-awareness of this.

This some well-researched

This some well-researched analysis! The next few years will present some interesting challenges for Google. Ten years ago, Microsoft was the dominating force in software and technology after its ten-year run-up culminating with the release of Windows 2000. The ensuing years have been filled with anti-trust lawsuits and constant "heel-nipping" more recently from Firefox and now Google. Microsoft also faced the brain drain problem, and have been hard-pressed to develop the types of new technology perceived as altering the market in the way Google has done with search.

I've written a couple of articles about Google's employee retention for those that are interested. One related to the brain drain challenge:
http://scottsambucci.blogspot.com/2007/06/innovation-google-employee-ret...

And another more recently on retention:
http://scottsambucci.blogspot.com/2008/06/googles-employee-retention.htm...

“If Gmail’s down for six

“If Gmail’s down for six hours, you can lose your job over that.” -- I think this certainly holds for larger enterprises. For smaller companies, this is a major headache, but the chances of a firing resulting from such an event are much smaller.

The SaaS model gives small companies a chance to operating its systems as a large enterprise, but without the infrastructure and training costs. Our company is a 5-person group, using Salesforce, GoogleMail, FogBuz, and outsourcing all of our server space and computing of a 2 TB database. These services put us in a position to scale more easily, but enjoy most of the conveniences of a larger enterprise, especially in regard to sales tracking and product development.

Rick,
Impersonating an employee of any government, publicly, or privately owned company is a federal offense and could lead to federal prosecution.

Brandon,
Hacking and modifying your Iphone or any other phone with AT&T service puts you in confliction with your AT&T contract which may lead to an early termination of contract and service which will result in an early termination fee of up to $175 as well as a one year suspension from any AT&T services that you may currently subscribe to.

Iphone and other AT&T customers,
I apologize for any offensive comments that may have been put forth falsely on behalf of AT&T.
Any comments posted in non-sponsored forums and blogs by a person claiming to be in affiliation with AT&T or Apple should be disregarded. I assure you that none of our employees, to our knowledge, blog any negativity towards any AT&T or Apple products and/or customers. Sorry for any inconvenience or offense. High customer satisfaction is our top priority.

Services may be merely acceptable, but we have grown so accustomed to paying low prices for them that we don't see a need to pay more to guarantee certain levels of uptime. Slashdot commenter NevermindPhreak put it best
« Back to the top page Communications: Is price all that matters?
Larry Borsato03.11.2008
Categories FCC Internet ISP Software & Web Telecommunications
Comments 1I recently posed a question in the Industry Standard, asking why we don't demand higher reliability in the communications services that are so central to our personal and work lives.

Heavy response on Slashdot and Paul Mah's TechRepublic blog showed that quite a few people agreed with my observations about mobile phone service, Internet access, and satellite and cable television.

However, many more disagreed. Among the dissenters, there were a couple of common themes. Some thought that achieving 99.999% reliability is practically impossible, although others pointed out it is technically achievable, using redundancy and other techniques. One person remarked that we accept much lower quality standards in software engineering than we ever would for other engineering disciplines, such as bridge design and construction.

Many felt that 99.999% reliability is unnecessary for communications services. They reasoned that as long as products and services work most of the time, then that's good enough. Indeed, these services do work quite well. There is a slight chance that my mobile network will fail when I need to call 911 to report an emergency, but the probability is extremely low.

But one of the most interesting themes that arose in the reactions was the view that people are unwilling to pay more for extra reliability. Services may be merely acceptable, but we have grown so accustomed to paying low prices for them that we don't see a need to pay more to guarantee certain levels of uptime. Slashdot commenter NevermindPhreak

To Ian and Stan above, Please help, I have been a conned global bullion exchange in lake worth fl. as well. I was told i could get 1000oz silver for 8000 when the market was at 18 oz. because they had an institutional order so i could get a big discount. Later i find out i was charged a 15% commision on the full metal value than i find out it was a margin account that the metal had to increase in value over 3.50 dollars to even break even.non of these facts were disclosed up front. when the metal fell in value 1.35 i was told i was in margin and had to send in more money or my account was a total loss. when i tried to sell out i was hung up on. I suspect no silver exists and this is a fraud and a ponzi scam. please send me the contact so i can report this fraud to the proper authorites. i would not want others to get in to this if somethings to good to be true....it is.......

No, Drudge's auto-refresh

No, Drudge's auto-refresh (about every 3 minutes) doesn't exagerate the site's "session count" -- unlike the more primitive "hit count," is is how the internet metrics folks measure the site's popularity.

Netratings.com (among other net traffic gathering sites) explains this. And see the page at the Newspaper Association of America: www.naa.org/blog/digitaledge/1/2008/06/Nielsen-Drudge-Report-Leads-Top-3...

(You can check out more info on the topic of "sessions" at Wikipedia, and/or delve into it at pages like http://javapapers.com/servlet-interview-questions/explain-the-methods-us... )

Actually, instead of inflating the statistics, Drudge's site numbers are perhaps *lower* than they might be, since many readers (me included) just keep a browser tab open to DrudgeReport all day, every day, and never close it -- which, ironically, works out to a *single* session. (I routinely close that tab only when I reboot my system, which is about once every 2 weeks.) A session only counts more than once if you leave the domain for another website and then return again to Drudge, but I just keep the page open and pop up new tabs for any news articles that Drudge points me to.

So for me, an avid reader/scanner of news, I view the refreshed DrudgeReport page maybe 300 times a month, but only generate 2 or 3 *sessions*.
