The Industry Standard covers the online economy, including emerging technologies and companies, venture funding, acquisitions, site launches, and other developments in the internet space. The Standard features editorial analysis, news, and the community’s knowledge, aggregated as a prediction market.

Participate by:

Sending Tips. We are always looking for under-the-radar news and rumors. If you have some information you think The Industry Standard should know about, please email tips@thestandard.com. Unless you say so, we’ll assume you want to be an anonymous source.

Suggesting Predictions. We can’t possibly think of every Prediction that should be vetted by The Standard’s community. If you have an idea that you think should be predicted by The Standard, simply login and Suggest something. The community will vote to decide if the Prediction Suggestion should become a full-fledged Prediction. If the Prediction Suggestion is approved, you’ll receive S$25,000 (Standard Dollars)!

Commenting. You can comment on nearly anything you come across on The Standard. Articles, Predictions, Prediction Suggestions – everything is fair game. Want to discuss something before placing some of your Standard Dollars on a Prediction? Who better to talk to than your peers?

Betting on Predictions. See a Prediction about a future event that you think will come true? Or, maybe you want to bet that an event will not happen. When you register, you’ll get S$100,000 (Standard Dollars - our site’s virtual currency) that you can use to place bets on Predictions. High performers have the potential to win real prizes, too.
