The Nasdaq plunged to new lows today (July 7), reaching 2,214 -- on a par with one and two year lows -- and prompting fears of a long-term bear market. However, some analysts are less pessimistic, suggesting that the technology stocks index has bottomed out. This prediction is that the Nasdaq will recover its lost territory and reach 2500 by the end of July.

This prediction will be judged favorably on or before the end of US trading on Thursday July 31 if the Nasdaq exceeds 2500 points.
