Mozilla Firefox 3 will lead to 25% global browser market share

Mozilla is keeping the browser war alive with the launch of Firefox 3, slated for Tuesday June 17th.

Firefox already has more than 18 percent of the global market, according to Net Applications. With the release of Firefox 3, Mozilla could see a boost in downloads and market share. Microsoft's next version of Internet Explorer won't come to market until later this year.

This is a prediction that the release of Firefox 3 will push Firefox's total market share to 25%, according to Net Applications, by September 30, 2008.
